    Distributor Shaft Scoring and rebuild

On my son's coupe, I am rebuilding the distributor. There are two scoring lines near the end of the shaft. Any idea what would cause this, something else to check, and is it okay to use or should I buy a new lower shaft?

    Acceleration Issues - Weber Carburetor

I'll add. I should have added these facts. We set the timing with a Nurex timing tool. It was a TDC with both the pin and a visual. To start the car, we had to pull the spark advance all the way down. Can I get more initial advance by turning the distributer clockwise or counter clockwise?

'39-41 Ford Brakes - Clip Identification

Took these out super easily before disassembly of everything for fixing, cleanup and re-painting. Can't seem to find a picture beforehand, so can anyone identify where these go? A picture or diagram would be helpful. Thx!

Dialing in a Weber - need help

The Weber carburetor has been rebuilt by Earnest Carb in El Monte to another Model A. Idle seems to be okay, but we will make sure the timing is right first. When you give it gas, it hesitates and wants to stall. Eventually, it does stall. It has an Arizona Ford fuel pump, a fuel restrict...

    Motometer Flag Holder

Followup. We're going to return the items we received. The company was pleasant enough to tell me the glass shift knob (still in their online catalog) was discontinued. I received no confirmation email or shipping information, and it just showed up today. Going to return it. Not the wanted or...

    Motometer Flag Holder

In the course of gathering great things for my Ford Model A over the years, I acquired one of these flag holders that fits in between the Motometer flip-up radiator top. It's easy to put on and take off for parades. Much better than the clamp kind. Now, I', trying to find one for my son's Model...

Tips for Setting Timing on a FS Ignition

The engine was running fine, except I was getting pre-detonation at higher RPMs. I decided to re-time it, and here I am. FS ignitions set the curve for my engine and HC head. Since I have a B block, FS told me to find top DC with the number one plug out, and set my mark at zero there. With the...
