What would be the proper wire size of the pigtail that runs from the output post to the brush on a 3 brush generator? I just changed a wire for this & it seems to stiff. The brush won't spring freely. I have even bent the spring a little to try to get the brush to have more snap but no go.

I'm getting them too. I logged out & back in & i still get the ads. It's very annoying.

For me, I view on a desk top computer. I can double click all day & the picture stays the same size as if I click once.

I returned to the two problem generators & now have them working. On one of them I had out the 2 wires that connect to the brushes on the wrong brush holders. On the other generator I did find a broken wire coming from one of the field coils. This one was harder to detect as it was come & go. I...

Generator #1 had a new armature put in this summer & the field windings were replaced some time not too long ago. Gen #2 is aging internally but both Gens worked this summer. It seems odd to me that gen #2 would show a charge & then not show a charge.

The head ache continues. I gen #2 apart this morning (the one that gave me a 7 amp charge at one time) & found a couple of cracked wires. I replaced them & put the #2 gen back on car. Behold it showed 7 amp charge again. I shut the car off, did something (don't remember what) & started the car...
