My engine is being rebuilt, it is the original 272 yblock with original fordomatic transmission, when i bought it , it did not have a kickdown rod and the shop i have it at said they can make one by hand for about 1,000.00 , does this seem fair or are they milking me ? Sent from my iPhone...

Is it normal for my 55 fairlane town sedan 272 v8 to accelerate slowly. I feel like it should have more power being a v8 . Also when it gets up to speed on the freeway everyone once in a while it seems like it wont speed up. What can it be ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The voltage on both connections on the external resistor glow bright red but the connection going to the distributor cap is very dim. Could the resistor be bad ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Moved the fuel filter and added new fuel hoses. Finally got it running now i just need to get it tuned up. The air fuel mixture ratio on the carb seems a lil off , for a v8 it dont accelerate too fast. Ive tried setting it to the manufacturers specs bit it still seems a lil off. Any other info...

I removed the hose and fuel squirted a little out of the filter but i dont think its enough pressure to make it up to the second filter then into the carburetor.

No fuel is getting to the bigger fuel filter right next to to carburetor when i crank it. I will try and see if the brass one is the one giving me problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
