    Brassworks Radiator

My initial experiance with Brass works was great (old ownership) but recently has stunk. Next time I ened a radiator I will be looking to go else where. I had a 2 year old radiator leak from the inlet and they would not fix it on their dime even though it came witha lifetime warranty on this...

    Ford day in Valders, WI

Thought some of you may find this interesting. It is a celebration they are having to commemorate the first Ford dealership in the state of Wisconsin. Could be an interesting event for those of us who can make it. A link to the main page http://www.valderslions.org/celebration.php Link to...

    fan blade crash

Here's a reminder for everyone to check their fan blades. I was going for a ride over the weekend (just tooling around) when I heard a loud clashing noise come from the engine and then stop. I pulled over to find my fan in the radiator. I managed to limp the car home spuing coolant all over...

Model T newbie... have some basic questions

You are starting with about as much of a car as I had and now it's great. Took some time but like ford 46 says it's the one everyone will remember. I love giving people rides in the car they'll talk about for years how they got to ride in a T and how neat it was. It is a truly unforgettable...

    RAJO BB-R Valve Guides?

My experience with the bronze guides I always had plenty of oil up top. I have used them in several vintage cars with no problems but like I said I always had plenty of oil on those engines.

    replacing bands

Yes the hogs head is the top half of the bell housing. Ya good tiem to make that correction. You may wnat to check your babbitted fourth main and if your bushing in the drive shaft right away as well. As for on line not sure but there is a book and video on the trany from the MTFCA I would...

Are you shutting it off with the timing fully advanced. You should ahve the lever all the way up when you shut it down.

    replacing bands

You are correct they are on the wrong side of the transmission. You will need to remove the hogs head to remove them with out damaging them. Just put them back in the correct way so next time you won't have to pull the hogs head but if you use the kevlar bands that day may never come from what...

    Kingston carb

Can you put up a p;ictrue of the carb to make sure it is one for a 27 as they did make carbs for model T's for a number of years and they vary in design.

Newbie-how free should rear wheels be in neutral?

I think you might of made things worse. When the pedal is up it should be in high you shouldn't need to hold down anything. As for the bands they take some patience. You need to adjust them and then check it with pushing on the pedal I think someone said you should have about 1/2" in pedal...

    T Transmission question

That last story is just wrong. That is why I do all my own assembly and only sub out the machining. Just because someone is a "professional" doesn't mean they know what they are doing.

Holley NH T's and grose jets???

I never hard much luck with the gross jets, found a good needle and seat worked best. You may need to use a modern material float though with your fuel pump. I have found they give a littel more resistance than the old cork.

    Looking for opinions on oil

I run your typical 10W30 and have no problems, everythigns seems to be running good. As stated earlier oil today is far better then in the teens and 20's be careful with additives though as they can cause issues witht eh bands and the magneto (also noted above) ATF won't harm anything my only...

    differential Grease problem

Well given the person put in greese and not oil I would be concerned about what else he may have done. I would pull the rear end off and take it apart for a good inspection and make sure everything is correct in there. There are some really good videos on how to do this as well as a book from...
