    Silly Question

I forgot to ask what type of disconnect switch you are using; however, you still can quickly test Model A Ford circuitry using a 6 volt bulb on a 6 volt electrical circuit. Especially with testing the functioning of your disconnect switch.

    Silly Question

I agree that it could be either a problem with the disconnect switch (check for continuity) or a blown fuse (or loose wire) in the circuit. It doesn't matter which Negative or Positive battery pole you connect your disconnect switch to. It should function as it should with opening (Turning on)...

Although this may be impossible, I thought that I would try it anyway.

UPDATE: MISSION IMPOSSIBLE Thanks to everyone who provided me with valuable information regarding the issue I was having with attempting to remove the sharply cut sections of Splash Shields that were remaining on my '31 SW Ford. Especially the information about lifting the car body .off of the...

Although this may be impossible, I thought that I would try it anyway.

Thanks very much for the video information. (y)(y) I found out the Splash Shields are just too tightly compressed under the weight of the car to muscle 💪 and simply pull them out. My 23rd Model A Ford restoration lesson learned. I'm keeping tabs. ✍️ I was going to eventually need to remove...

Although this may be impossible, I thought that I would try it anyway.

I would like to try to "pull out" the remainder of my '31 SW Ford "cut off" Side Splash Shields without lifting the car body from the frame. 😮Maybe this will be an extremely difficult thing to do, but I would like to try to attempt it. It's obvious to me where some of bolts are located that...

    Can't Get Hub On

One of the brake adjusting shafts appears slightly longer than the other. They should be equal in length against the adjusting wedge.

    Firewall Battery Shelf?

My current SW project came with the battery mounted on the firewall. It has additional supportative brackets on the other side of the firewall. The car was supposedly used as a Taxi and I figured it made sense for easily servicing the battery. I restored the battery holder and will probably...

    Zerk Fitting

I have tapped for 1/8" pipe and used a screw in modern fitting like Joe K mentioned above. I have all modern grease fittings installed on my car.

    Zerk Fitting

Is it possible the fitting has been welded in place? To me it appears there might be a buildup of something around it. Perhaps just some paint, but it could be something else holding the fitting in place. I would wire brush and remove the paint that surrounds the fitting to get a better idea of...

    Installing '31 SW Header Wood

Thank you for your experiences with the replacement of the '31 SW wood header. I appreciated your input. I started with the back of the car with replacing the top wood and soon I will be dealing with the front header wood. Before I put the last side pieces of wood into place, I was just...

    Installing '31 SW Header Wood

I think I know the answer to this question; however, I thought I would ask before I dragged out my metal cutter and torch. With "ALL" the old top wood removed (with the exception of the front Wooden Header) from the car body on my 31 SW Sedan, is there any way that I can now remove and install...
