All Ford manuals indicate the the oil capacity is 5 quarts. The attached is a data sheet from a Canadian manual that specifies 4 quarts! I compromise and put in 4 1/2!

The 68/78/11A all accept the 78/81A coil and have the same bolt pattern . It looks like all the parts are interchangeable - Are the 68/78 advance curves different? I notice in the "Green Book" the the 68 wights are replaced by the 11A. There is no mention of the 78. Can you mix and match...
