    37 flatbed pickup question

I finally got around to changing the wood on my flatbed frame risers and I just noticed the rather inconspicuous threaded holes in the bed within the fender cutouts. Any idea what might have went there or could it be aftermarket? One has been filled partially. Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk

Hard time starting with electric starter, easy with crank

Hey Barn, I need a super sleuth on this one, I keep my 59ab driven 37 pickup plugged in over night on a trickle to compensate for a weak generator..... (I will deal with that at a later time..... said 5 years ago). When I get ready to start, I will unplug, let it sit for a bit and go to start...

    37 pickup radiator pan

Anyone know if this is actually for a 37 pickup? Looks a little funky to me. Trying to get some extra support on the crank and maybe some extra cooling help, mostly so I don't slip again and poke a hole in my core. Sent from my SM-S908U1 using Tapatalk

    Stakes for 37 1/2 ton

I have been trying to figure out what would be original for the stake sides of my 37 1/2 and I'm at a bit of a loss. From what I can see in pictures of old advertising and what may be factory restorations of 1 and 1 1/2 ton flat beds, the stakes would be the stamped steel variety. Even the AA...

    Right hand output shaft removal

I really should have looked into this when it was more convenient, but I just sheared the keyway on my passenger side output shaft. Is there any way of removing the shaft without disassembling the differential? Or am I just sitting SOL on that front? Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

    59ab spark plug wire tubes

Looking for a decent set of 59ab spark plug wire routing tubes. Rusty and lightly dented is fine, but a complete basket case will be avoided. Otherwise if anyone can take some detailed pictures with measurements so I can fabricobble some reproductions that would be great. Sent from my...

    Recurring Sudden Oil pressure drop

The oil pressure starts around 10-15 for about 30 minutes of driving every time I start, however if I ever pick up passed 50mph the pressure drops to zero. My gut says something is in the pan and getting sucked up to the screen, then falling after the engine sits for a while. Any thoughts...

    Starter heat soak

This is probably a worn out topic, but I can't seem to find much in the archives (I could just be ignorant/ lazy/ both) only one I could find is relating to the starter wrap. Was there any heat shield that may have been a later add on to help with this issue? Pictures of yours if you found or...

'37 Model 77 under bed wood risers

I am looking to replace the wood that raises the bed off of the frame of a model 77 flatbed. The termites have been feasting. I can make patterns off the original, but does anyone happen to know the original specs? ie. Species of wood, paint vs body color, method of lamination (any pegs or...

Orange/LA county recommendation for Diff. Rebuild

1937 model 77 flatbed pickup So my diff blew on the way home and I can't work on something that big at my apartment. At least I hope it was the diff and not the trans since I can shift freely, roll freely and the speedo shows movement but it won't budge on the gas. No outside signs of damage but...

I just can't burn another armature....

I have a '37 model 77 and I just can't figure this out... the generator the truck came with burned up, the new rebuilt one burned up and now I have a third that I just want to work, I've spent too much as it is. This new unit is a '33 so I've been told, and I have a new solid state cut out...
