I re boilt my 8 ba when I installed the 6th piston the motor was hard to turn . After the 7th and 8ththe motor is locked up . I used a 3 foot pipe wrench and could not budge it . My thoughts are to tear it down and stsrt over.

I can't remember if the cylinders have to be beveled after boring . I found a problem with my new Hastings rings the third ring is a three part ring . some of the thin rings were bent . I am sure it was on instillation. should I bevel the top edges of my cylinders?

I have a problem. My all stock 8ba in my 53 ford between shifts hiccups also when I decelerate then hit the gas it bucks like it stalled. I use 87 octane .This has been a problem fro many years . I just got fed up. After a while even old Jarheads have had enough.
