I am finally ready to re-spring my Speedster. I will be using a T rear, and a Posies A reverse eye and lower arc spring which is said to lower the front end by 2". I understand that the T spring should accomplish the same drop in the rear.
I am also interested in making the ride as compliant...
I would be using this with separate signal lights so a four wire system will suffice. It will be used on my speedster, and I don't wish to have a switch on my column. Pros, Cons, etc. Thanks.
I used the search function and could not find an answer. Were there accessory driving or fog lights available in the aftermarket for Model A's? Any particular types? Any photos?
Thanks, js
Used the search function. Anyone here use a Sparky Start? Comments from those that use them vs. comments from those that don't like them or question why I might need one, or tell me that they are not "original" equipment?
Thanks in advance. :)
Any one run a vacuum gauge
"full time" on their car or do you break out the gauge simply as a diagnostic tool or at tune up time? Used the search tool but did not come up with an answer. js
Am I correct in presuming that as the Model A engine has so little oil pressure to begin with, (in comparison to later tech.) that the narrower range of 0 -10 lbs would be better to indicate or notice whatever small changes take place? How about reliability of one over the other? Thanks in...
I am interested in a Model A in which is located in Napa. I am looking for a Model A savvy person who would be able to check out the car for me. Any help or referrals to someone in the local Model A club would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, js
I have finally gathered all of the rebuild parts for my flathead. I kind of went over board and will probably replace parts that may not have needed to be replaced, but I don't want to do this again...
The cam looks good, and I planned to reuse it. However I do not know what type of cam I...
Looking for 3 ring cast pistons & rings .060 over with a 4.00" stroke.
I have been able to find 4 ring sets @ .060 over but not 3 ring sets.
3 ring sets seem to start at .125 over.
My block is freshly bored @ .060 over and would like the 3 ring setup for the reduced friction. Thanks, js
Please keep an eye out. I know this is more of a HAMB type car but I believe you will understand the importance of getting the word out.

Guys over at the HAMB suggested I post this here.
I am rebuilding my stock 51 Merc Flathead. I will need to replace pistons and rings and may have to bore it 1 size over depending on what I hear from the machinist. I have been using the search function and have researched the available...
