I have a 39’ 1/2 ton truck with a 24 stud 8BA engine (unknown year). It has a Stromberg 97 carb on it but I can’t get much over 30 miles per hour. Wondering if I really need the 94 carb instead? Thanks for the help

Seems every time I drive my 39’ 1/2 ton truck the lights quit working or won’t turn off. Is is difficult to go to a modern pull switch? Don’t have a horn so it won’t be missed..

I have a 1939. 1/2 ton truck and would like to know how to check the amp gauge. It doesn’t seem to move when engine is started. I jumped battery and field and still no movement that I can see.

When I revived my 39’ 1/2 ton truck there was a 20 amp fuse for the headlights. I replaced wiring with new reproduction cloth wire and changed all bulbs so it is now a 12 volt truck. Turned on headlights and 20 amp glass fuse blew, is this the correct fuse? Also the fuse that blew was a cheap...

Took my 39’ truck around the block and now I have no headlights/ taillights or brake lights. Took the junction box apart (by steering box) and cleaned connections. Now when reassembled I turn horn rod it just locks up and won’t move until I disassemble the junction box then it moves freely...

I have a 39’ 1/2 ton truck that did not have a horn rod/light switch. Just a empty hole in the steering wheel. If I can’t find a horn rod is there a way of making the headlights work? Thanks I’m new to these vehicles.

Bought an after market gas sending unit, frame is rusty so i was going to run a ground wire up to the battery. Wondering what gage wire that should be. Also have a single 12 volt fog light on the front and need to know what gage wire that should be. Thanks for the help.

I have a 1939 1/2 ton truck. Finally got the glass and picked up the window channels from Mac’s. Wondering if glass goes into channels then in the door or if the channels are connected to the window regulators and the glass drops down into it? Thanks for all the help!
