Is there a material I could use similar to plasti-gauge to do a static check on brake shoe to drum gap? I think it would give me a rough idea on where to remove material to arc the shoe to the drum.

I need the trans adapter for a 49-51 Ford car that will allow for the installation of a Tremec 5 speed transmission. It is 3” wide and I believe the part number is 8BA-6392. The 3" adapter will bolt to the Speedway Motors GM T5 trans adapter #91628912.
