    New Gas

It is starting to get warmer out, the Parades are starting soon, time to get the Model A out more, and finish up the remainder of the old $2.39 gas in the tank, and put in that new over $4 a gallon gas. Maybe by the summer end it will be over $6.

    Parked in the garage

Had the car sitting in the garage for 2 months due to the weather. I took the car out yesterday for a good run, it started right up, no issues. What is the longest you can let the A sit, since it has that 10% ethanol mix in the gas ?

    Downdraft Carburetor question?

trying to figure out why, when I start the car after sitting in the garage after a week or maybe two, with out using the choke, the car will start up in 3 seconds. I go for a 30 minute ride or more, shut the car off, come back in 15 minutes or more, and the car takes much longer to start, why?

Its not Model A related but,

It might keep you enjoying the hobby longer, if you don't like that dreaded colonoscopy exam, get that 5min FIT home test directly from Pinnacle Labs online, two tests-$30, others like Amazon are charging $30 or more for 1 kit, it saved me from a possible disaster. I think the Cologuard test is...

I replaced that cheap screw in bolt they sell, because when I went to unscrew it, the top stripped. I replaced it with an easy to remove brass bolt. Its the bolt below in the picture.

    Oil pan bolts

It would take me 30 minutes to take out the two front oil pan bolts because of a tight fit between pan and crossmember, so I grind down this socket, and it made it as simple as removing the others.

    Gas?

I was at a landscape equipment store yesterday, the owner said, do not leave gas in any equipment, lawnmower, leaf blower etc. for over a month. Should that be the same rule with The Model A, since all gas here has 10% Ethanol? I do use Sta-bil additive, does that help if its over a month in the...

I guess there is a first time for everything, after owning this Model A for over 5 years, for the first time I get a reminder that my Model A is due for an inspection, and also informed to go to: nhtsa.gov to check if your FORD is subject to a safety recall. This shows how up to date this...

    No need to go 70mph

I disconnected my fuel pump for my Stromberg 97, because 60mph is just fine, find no need to go 70 mph with an Antique vehicle, Ill keep that speed for the modern car, also one less thing to worry about, the pump breaking down, gravity feed works fine at 60mph. Iam going back to common sense.
