Does anyone know what thread the choke fulcrum screw is? This is the large headed shouldered bolt that the choke linkage pivots on. Mine has stripped I the carb top and I'd like to helicoil it. Thanks.

I have an orignal rear spring that I've just purchased as a replacement for my current rear spring on my '36. It is 2 1/4" wide and about 40 1/2" long, centre to centre spring eye relaxed on the bench. If its not '36 what year is it? Thanks

Anyone fitted the front and rear axles from the later Fords into a '36? I know their wider but does 1/4" on the front and 1" or so on the back make them completely un-workable? Thanks

I've mocked up my early style dizzy on my late engine with the cam button installed. With both the cam and dizzy engaged in the button the dizzy sits about 1/8" proud of the timing cover. I've noticed the button has about 1/4-3/8" deep slot with the dizzy tang being only around 1/8" deep...

Is it possible to remove the side shifter plate from the side shift gearbox without removing the gearbox from the car? The seals have gone in the one in the car and I've built up a replacement and want to swap them straight over. Thanks.

Has anybody got experience with the Reds valve changeover kits they sell? They are a complete kit to change over an earlier flathead valve train to '49-'53 one piece style. Are the kits with the "Pro Flo" stainless valves for flatheads or modified Chevy valves?

I've recently picked up some used, new Edelbrock heads. The engine in my '36 is a small bore 24 stud (81A). Is it worth me bolting them on the small bore engine or does the drop in capacity/compression ratio make them worthless on the smaller engine? I'm already running the stock 81A heads...

I recently read of someone specificly using a '42-'48 cam as they said it was the best stock cam for low/mid range torque. Did the cam profiles change over the years and are some years better than others?

In the Green Bible they list the steering arm/pitman arm as '37-'41 and then a different part number for '42-'48. As the steering boxes are the same (Columns are different lengths obviously) does anybody know what the differences are with the steering arms? Thanks.
