Rubber bumpers for the rumble seat seem to be hard to put in and was wondering if there is a means or method to install the new bumpers that fit on the top of the lid. Any help would be appreciated for this 73 year old novice. thank, Swede;)

How do you install the large bumper into the small hole on my 1931 model A coupe? there are two holes for the lid to rest on at the top of the opening. I orders two new bumpers and cannot figure out how to get them into the bracket holes. The old ones I took out are the same size as the new...
