Just some information. I am rebuilding a 40 Ford rear end. I found a seal that will press from the outside into the axle housing and seal in the rear end oil. It is a SKF 11050. I made the tool to drive it in.

I need to remove the spring perches from the front axle. I have read on the net about heating the front axle and don't heat the axle. I have heated it with a propane torch and melted candle wax in the nut cavity. I saw the home made puller for pulling the perches but it won't work on a 40 axle...

I have a three speed transmission. I know it is early ford v8 but I don't know the exact year. The serial number is 18-5141890. It has the top shifter has the two screws one on either side. It was in my 35 ford when I bought it 50 years ago.

I am working on a Model T racer that is 2/3 scale. I want to use a 10 spline clutch by 1 3/8 diameter. I want to find one that has a good spline and I don't care about the rest of the clutch. What years used this clutch ?
