Can I use a 31 cab back from a steel top truck on my 30 CC truck? There is not a tack strip only small tabs to nail to across the top of the cab back. Is the rear wood header piece the same for both trucks?

I have a pick up bed to be used on a 30 model a truck. starting to put wood planks in the bed and there are no holes down the inside rails where the wood goes under the lip. also there are no holes in the end pieces that the boards sit on. do I have a model a bed or something different?
