    Randy Gross F-100 Steering Box

Is Randy Gross still selling the F-100 rebuilt steering box to fit a 1930 Model A? Old age and even older shoulders make this conversion an appealing thought.

I have a vintage Wig-Wag License Topper that will wig, but not wag. I have secured a couple of the wires, but I obviously have not achieved something correct to have it wag back and forth. I do not understand the mechanism to create the magnetic pull and then the release for the spring to go...

Is Wagner Products Company still in business

I have two of the Wagner 6 Volt Alternators with their Fit Kits and am pleased with them, but I am trying to reach them and I can't seem to get the web site to open and their phone goes to message and hangs up. It might be on my end, but I was wondering if they were still open.

    Top Dressing for Original Top

I have a good friend who is wondering what would be a good top dressing for an original top. This car has been in his family since it was new, and he wants to keep it original and not install a new vinyl top. His top shows evidence of tiny cracks and does leak in rain. Since he is not yet a...

Model A Times Article About Not Using Diesel Oil

At the recommendation of many on the Barn, I have been using Rotella 15-40 oil in my Model A. A recent article in The Model A Times advocates not using a Diesel Oil. Has that changed the minds of any of you who like me have been using Rotella 15-40?

Suggestions to get rear axle nut lined up with cotter key hole

I have changed an axle and am using a good original castle nut. My problem is that from a torque range of 90 to 125 it does not line up with the axle key hole. I do not have another nut to try and I am going to call Bert's this morning as some have said another nut may line up differently. At...

Studs removed when removing Head Nuts

I am removing my head that was torqued repeatedly to 55# and stayed at 55# on repeated routine checks. When I removed it, 7 studs came out with the nut and only 7 nuts came off the studs. Jeweled Dash Light Covers

I've been looking at the Jeweled Dash Light Covers for the 28-early 30 dash lights, and there seems to be different choices in this aftermarket accessory. Some have only red, blue and green jewels, and some have amber as well. I assume there were multiple sources of period production, but is...

I have a Snyder's 5.5:1 head on a AER touring engine and I just blew my head gasket. I had a copper B gasket with copper kote on both sides. I have not removed the head yet, but I want another copper gasket and would like to use the one that people have had good luck with. Thanks
