Hi guys, I'm following up on my post from about 6 weeks ago. I'm delighted yo say the new 2 pc. (screw in type) crankshaft pulley & oil slinger is installed and no leaks yet. Just looking thru the Les Andrews Mechanic's Handbook on reinstalling the brake drums and there is no mention of packing the rear wheel bearings with W/B grease, as is instructed on the front bearings & hubs, I have always packed the rears the same as the front, is this an oversight in the book...

    Toe in dimension

I have read different toe in spec's and I'm under the impression that about 1/8" is correct at about 16" high on a mid May 1930 production model (Tudor). Also some claim 3/16" is correct. Mine is set at 1/8" now and steering box is very good with much less than 1" play in the wheel but I do get...

    Tudor door latch

The in frame door latches on my 30 Tudor are badly worn. Are the nuts that the adjusting screws thread into welded to the back of the body? It looks like any easy replacement as long as I don't need to get into the parts behind the latch screws?

Hi Guys, does anyone have a suggestion on a good place to purchase seat covers (front) for my 30 Tudor? Just put the old girl back together after a head gasket failure & discovered I have a drip from the bottom of the radiator, the local radiator shop no longer repairs radiator, just replaces them, so now either I tear it back out & take it about 50 miles to the nearest shop or try some stop leak...

Checking the valve lash and on the spec's of .13 int. & .15 exh. all mine are .12 int. & .13 exh. Is that really important enough to try to correct or close enough for all practical purposes?

    Head gasket follow up

Finally got the head off my 30' Tudor today & there was plenty of evidence of coolant in # 3 cylinder & an area of the gasket appeared damaged between the cylinder & water jacket area near the exhaust valve on #3.
