I've seen a period photo -- maybe even a film clip -- of a Model T descending an impossibly steep bank of a creek bed (?). The suspension is twisted and contorted in a way that really displays the flexibility of the Ford design. Can anybody post such a picture or video? Thanks!

I am missing this bar entirely for my phantom convertible (the car is a '40 Ford, but the top is a faux '42-'48 convertible). I'm not clear if the original part is in two or three pieces, including the stainless trim on the outside. Can somebody clarify for me?

I find that Carpenter lists a gasket with part # 11A-7003110-B, while Drake shows # 21A-7603110. Both are supposed to be for '42-'48 Ford cars with stainless inserts. As some of you know, my car is actually a fake, but we have tried to build a windshield frame that's an accurate copy of a '42...

I plan to use '39 side trim on my phantom '40 convert (shown in post #19 of this thread: http://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=122229). Both Drake and Carpenter offer repop stainless for this application, with a few differences. Drake does not catalog the upper hood side trim at all...

Does anybody know if the bottom pivot parts are the same from convertible/Victoria to closed cars? I need to replace one or both bottom pivots on my '51 Victoria vent windows, and the search will be easier if coupe & sedan parts are the same. TIA!

Window frames on postwar Ford converts and Victorias are stainless-clad steel, and challenging to metal finish and/or weld. I have been told that '57 through early '60s Ford & Merc hardtop frames are solid stainless. Can anybody confirm this, and/or provide more specific information? Anybody...

I need a pair of '40 convertible coupe doors in any condition. '39 or '38 would probably work for my purposes too.

I'd like to know the stock front track of a '40 Ford. The only source I could find in my library (The V8 Affair) says that track was 55 3/4" from '32 through '38; can anybody confirm that this is accurate for a '40 as well?
