Here are some pictures of the completed interior on my 48 Merc. It is EZ BOY upholstery custom sewn for the seats and the EZ Boy panels are the same style but were not cut to size. I had the upholstery professionally installed. The original interior was in poor condition. I am especially...

    It's About Time!

After all these years my 48 Merc is complete. The engine was made into a full house 276 cube in the early 50s and I have restored the car back to that era. The tires will be wide whites but I will go with these for a while as they are new.

    Finally My Engine Is In

After what seems almost forever my engine is back in the car. The engine was a 276 cube full house flattie that was built in the fifties. I tried to reuse as much of the vintage speed stuff as practical. The pictures show a rough mockup and as installed in the car. I know it is a long post...

    converting to 12vt, voltage regulator?

My 48 Mercury has rubber grommets on the bottom of the 6vt positive ground voltage regulator. The rubber is located where the screws mount the regulator to the firewall. I suppose the rubber prevents the regulator from grounding to the firewall. When going to 12vt neg. do I use the rubber...

What to do? Need your help.

Due to my own stupidity I broke a pressure plate bolt and hardened ez-out in my 59 flywheel. My question is can I get by with a heli-coil or must I have the hole welded and retapped to original?
