I have a question about the heat riser chamber under the carburetor portion of an Early V8 intake manifold. I believe the manifold is from the 38-42 period but not sure. While looking at the manifold off the engine I noticed what appeared to be a rod protruding from one of the heat riser holes...

I have a 47 Ford Convertible that I have been restoring. It came with many parts not on the car. I have been trying to identify these two metal straps and determine if they attach somewhere to the car. Any help would be appreciative. Photo attached.
