37 ford with a 48 merc engine. It starts and runs good under light throttle. When i step on it and at higher rpm it sputters and misses. It has new plugs. Could it be points, wires??? HELP.

Some time back i wrote about putting a pcv valve on a ford flathead. I've gotten some answers but not about a 1948 Merc engine. Is there a road draft tube on this engine? How can i hook up a pcv valve on this engine??? HELP.
