    What model Battery Tender?

Battery Saver.com; subjective opinion, but these maintainers never sulfate or destroy batteries and last longer than any used over many years. Can be left on continuously and with automatic shut off even with AGM , etc. batteries.

Thank you all for the responses. I'll try the tape and tubing. Perhaps rubber thin wall tubing would work also.

    Battery Shut-Off

Opinions vary , some say to place a kill switch on power cable for racing negative ground engines, not the ground cable. Others say to place on either cable where most convenient. Also, accidentally dropping a tool to battery ground terminal even when switch is off can be an issue.

    Clamp on inductive tachometer

I 've used the attached for conventional wired spark plug leads. Any suggestions on how to use it with the brass strip to #1 plug, or to another power lead to coil, etc ? It can be set for 4 or 8 cylinder powered by an internal 9 volt battery . The handle is squeezed to open the hole shown by...

Frame spread with F150 ****** in stock A Frame

Re: Frame spread with F150 transmission in stock A Frame Just looked up word slang, which has a definition for the abbreviated word we oldsters have used for "transmission" in the car world.

    Carb Intake throat enhancement

Couldn't find air intakes from Snyder's. Actually, the Air Maze elbow is larger i.d. than the carb. i.d. if that helps with air flow..

    Carb Intake throat enhancement

Thanks Y block; that's what I had in mind for my Marvel as well , using just the air maze elbow. Your's looks better and a softer angle, kind of like stacks on top of hot rod 3-2's. Perhaps heated air from the manifold is beneficial for cold weather start ups. How is the copper attached to the...

    Carb Intake throat enhancement

Would placing a right angle (down) elbow , perhaps similar to intake stacks on hot rods, etc., enhance air flow to a stock carburetor ? Was thinking to use an Air Maze without the screen, (which restricts air flow) in combination with stock engine pans. if there is empirical tested data, such...

    exhaust backfire

Just had this issue; timing was way off, GAV needle and idle mixture screw worn, removed air cleaner, etc. Set up the engine per original and the Service Bulletin procedures. If stock head, set points and plugs to specs.

    Filler Screen/Flame Arrestor

To complement the response, the screen was called an arrestor , not so much a filter. I've had cars with both types, and on one of the tanks, a prior owner couldn't get the threads free ,late '31', so cut out the arrestor screen and left the threaded end. I had to take a tab repro and cut the...

Frame spread with F150 ****** in stock A Frame

It appears that the answer may be to extend the plates on the frame spreader push pads to raise the spreader cross bar to clear because the trans. case is taller than stock with different brake pedal supports, etc. There may be too much chance of cracking the engine trans. components by prying...

Frame spread with F150 ****** in stock A Frame

Frame spread with F150 Transmission in stock A Frame I have a frame spreader that works fine for stock A transmissions, but it won't clear the top of an F150 type 4 speed. Any suggestions other than bottle jacking or prying against the alum. transmission case or stock bell housing ? This is...
