The top holes on both sides are stripped out where the lower stanchion mounts to the body. Was thinking about brazing or welding the correct size nut on the back side to repair this. There is space for the nut to clear the lower mount. Going to do this before I pull the body off the frame. Any...

Just starting to tear down the old fordor. The Briggs tag reads 197-5548. I always thought that the first number is the body style. Of course none of my books show 197. To me the car appears to be a 170 standard. Any thoughts on this ?

[I recently got my hands on a Sportlight. The knob needs to be replaced. I have the Unity diagram of the light. Can not figure out how to remove the old knob. Anyone have any experience with these ? Any help appreciated.
