installing turn signals on 1941 using LEDs. anyone?

I use a piezo on my car. I taped a cotton ball to it to reduce the noise. You can customize the noise level with more/less insulation.

1940 Ford speaker grille cutout for a/c vent

I did that. See attached pic. You will have to enlarge the pic and look past the shift lever. I can't find a picture of it straight on.

    Borg Warner Overdrive

Rear end ratio and tire size need to be considered when deciding to use the OD or not. I agree that OD makes an older vehicle a pleasure to drive on the highway if set up correctly. I think a 3.70:1 or lower (higher numerically) is needed for OD unless there is a high torque engine used.

    cooling system flush

When I built my engine 6-7 years ago, I had the block dipped and cleaned really well, and had the original four-row radiator repaired, cleaned, and flow tested. I changed the coolant a couple of times since then and I'm in the process of doing it again. I've used distilled water/antifreeze each...

    lost password

I've been logged in on this site for years. I've lost track of my password. Now I fear if I get logged out and can't get back in. I'm afraid to log out to try some of my old passwords in fear it doesn't work. I need my password in order to change it to something I know. Is there a work-around?

    Initial Timing via Vacuum

The load a matic distributor gets its vacuum from a point above the throttle plates in the carb. The 94 carb only produces venturi vacuum to operate the distributor advance. The '57 distributor is designed to utilize manifold vacuum supplied at he base of the '57 up carb. along with the built in...

    52 Ford Question

The OP might be referring to the vacuum control canister on the distributor. If that is the case, yes, all distributors from '49 to '53 used them.

    1950 overdrive transmissions

The condition of the individual transmission in the car would be the primary concern. The transmission is very reliable if it isn't worn out or damaged, or has electrical issues. The Borg Warner electric overdrive transmission was used from the '30s into the late '60s/early '70s. If oil is kept...

    Replacement Radiator

in addition to the number of rows in a radiator, be aware that the width of the tube is important. The fins attach to the sides of the tube and take heat away from the coolant. The more side space there is to attach the fin, the better the cooling. I decided early on (1995) to use an aluminum...
