    Is it easier to take the tansmission out with the engine or is there another way?

    rebuilt engine put in and cannot put trans into third

    I put in my rebuilt engine,and I can get reverse,low and med. but cannot get into third,any ideas

    tranmission wont go into third

    I just put my rebuilt engine in my 30 ford coupe and I have reverse,low,med. but can not get into third,I have used the shims at the throttle lickage(3 on the passanger,none on the drivers side) and now it is stuck in third. Anyone have any ideas
