    '31 Horn.

The horn on my friend's '31 Deluxe Roadster was not working so I pulled it off and cleaned up the armature, brushes, etc. and blew it out well. Once installed it now runs continuously, without pushing the button on the steering wheel. If I switch the wires, it just smolders.... The...

    Source for quality parts.

Being new here, I don't want to step on any toes. And, being a Honda Goldwing mechanic by trade, I admit that I'm somewhat spoiled regarding parts quality, in terms of materials and fit & finish. That said: Where can I buy high quality parts for my friend's '31 Model A? He uses a parts...

    Success!.....Qualified....

Well, Bob's '31 A started tonight! Sounded and felt smooth while it ran, too. No LOPE to the engine. Didn't want to run long, though, but that may be due more to my clumsy execution of the start-up procedure. And, with the original coil! New high-tension wire, though. I'm re-reading the timing...

    Next steps.

Following the advice I received here, I confirmed 6V to the primary coil terminal and at the moving point, but got no snappy blue spark, so asked the A owner to pick up a coil and high tension wire. Went back today and found the parts picked up at Little Dearborn on the front seat. The HT wire...

Howdy! And 1st of many questions....

Hello! My real name is Kevin and I appreciate you folks putting together such an excellent Forum! I'm helping an elderly friend and neighbor who has a 1931 Model A Deluxe Roadster. I'm a Honda Goldwing motorcycle enthusiast and mechanic, which is why Bob asked for my help. Needless to say, the...
