    Brake clips

On my 26 model t the front drum brake line goes through the frame. The hole it goes thru is to large for the hydraulic line. The hose I bought has a c clip used for to keep the line from moving. I was going to use the c clip to prevent the hose from going into the frame. Does anyone about this c...

Please tell me if this sounds right

I have a 1926 model t with a ford 9 inch rear end. The wheel cylinders went bad from sitting around for years. The wheel cylinders had part number bendix 30006. I researched bendix 30006 and found it’s off a 1967 Ford F-250. But the pins that push the shoes don’t fit in the new wheel cylinder...

Now I have to replace rear wheel cylinders

On my 1926 model t I have a Ford 9 inch with dimples on the back. I have read this is a 1964 or so rear end. The t has been sitting for a long time. I have replaced all brake components except the rear wheel cylinders. Here's the part I have to ask questions. The owner before me put the drum...

ok I probably know the answer

I just got finished putting in new hydraulic hoses in my 1926. I bled the brakes and everything worked. Then I pushed on the pedal again and then I saw fluid coming out of the front drum brakes. I thought the bleeder screw or hose going to the wheel cylinder was loose. No such luck so I took the...

    Question

I am putting on new hydraulic brake hoses on my drum brakes. Is there a copper washer between the hydraulic hose and the wheel cylinder? I can’t remember and I thought better to ask. Thanks Jerry

Hi I have finally put the correct master cylinder on. But I have another problem. The rubber hose that goes to the drum brakes are clogged from years of neglect. But the hard lines to this are in a bad spot. I have to take out the radiator and grill. But I can bend the hard lines just enough and...

I found this and couldn’t figure it out

I found this and couldn’t figure it out The 1926 ford model t had a ford rear end with drum brakes. I saw the brakes but the wheel cylinder was mounted on the bottom. Basically the drum brake set up was upside down. Anyone ever heard of this? Thanks Jerry

    where to begin

well I finally got the correct brake master cylinder on my model t. The problem is when I added brake fluid I opened the bleeder screws and got no brake fluid dripping after two days. The model t has been sitting for 30 years so the rubber lines maybe clogged. So my options are to bleed the...

    What to do?

On my 1926 ford I have a single pot brake master cylinder. I bought a new similar master cylinder. The major problem is the bore is set to high in the master cylinder. So my question is should I look for the direct replacement that was in my Frankenstein car? Or drill new mounting holes? The...

    Ideas and vote

On my 1926 I have the original bench seat. It’s just the frame and spring. My question is should I rebuild the original seat. Or go a little modern? I kind of like the patina barn find look. I just have a little more work before it moves on its own. But just curious. Thanks Jerry

    Battery hold down

I just got my 1926 model t to start. But I have a dilemma. The battery I have in the battery box under the passenger side doesn’t have battery hold down provision. Any ideas? I am using a 26 series 12 volt battery. Thanks Jerry

    what battery?

I have a 1926 model t roadster pick up. It has been updated to 12 volt system. Does anyone have advice on car battery to use? I am thinking of mounting the battery in the same place the factory did. I was looking at perhaps a battery from a Honda Civic. Any opinions? Thanks Jerry

    any ideas

On my 1926 Ford Model T the seats are gone. All that's left is the springs. Anyone put newish seats in these cars? My truck is very Frankenstein so newish seats are not a problem. Comfort and fit are more important to me. Thanks Jerry
