I picked up this motor today. I was told it was out of a generator for a searchlight. Does the fuel pump mount look correct? I don't think I've seen this kind before.

Here is genset engine I picked up last month.

Sorting through a few of the V8s I've picked up recently I noticed one has a patch up job on the side. Was this a normal repair back in the day? I think this might have been off a genset.

Does anyone have a dimensioned drawing of the sidevalve V8 engine? I'm going to build a test stand and am planning to mock it up in 3d on my computer first. I can take measurements off a block I have but am hoping someone already has 2d drawings. Thanks Andrew
