Painted once on the outside, original on the inside, new engine. bump

Never been apart, original inside (with 40's-50's era seat covers), rebuild engine, paint on the outside years ago, that little visor fits perfectly and has been there for years - probably the original owner did it.

Original to Maine, has not been apart, painted on the outside years ago, original paint on the inside, including rugs and seat uphos/with seat covers from probably 50's.

Can anyone identify this KR Wilson tool or tool piece? It has been kicking around for a while and I do not have a KRW book to try and look it up. Thank you.

The thread on sound deadening reminded me of a question. The 28/29 doors that I have seen, had a thick fiber (straw,wood??)mat between the outer and inner panels. Has anyone identified what they were made of, and for restoration purposes come up with a modern facsimile?

This what I have so far, so ask questions if you want spec. mea., different pictures etc. It did not come apart as easily as it probably went together so the straight on end view of the cover strip isn't going to show the shape, but there is a freehand sketch w/meas.
