    Light plug into steering shaft

    Seem to be having trouble getting the light plug into it's mating part @ steering tube @ the bottom of the tube...I am trying to get the the light switch pointed @ 6 o'clock inside the car...and not getting enuff penetration to activate the switch..any suggestions or Technics?

Have had engine rebuilt and was talked into the newer Chevy front and rear seals installed by machinist...but the rear one leaks pretty good.. My Dads car and he was upset at the constant leak...the machinist...
