    32 roadster with original interior

Virus isolation didn't stop me when this V8 roadster was offered to me by the owner of almost 50 years. It had 36,000 miles when he bought it and now has 47,000 but unfortunately he painted it in the early 70's. The original interior was thankfully preserved, however. The leather front seat has...

Was there a separate manual included with 1932 roadsters on how to lower and fold roadster tops ? I find it difficult to get it tight enough to install the boot.

    1934 Roadster restorer ?

I have a 34 roadster that was owned by Earl Jordan of Conway, S.C. in the 1980's. I think it came from Pa. before that. Took the rumble seat out and on the cardboard behind the seat was written L.W. Rehrig and the date 4/5/72. Anybody recognize the name? Maybe the restorer ? Thanks...

    Ignition key codes

In my box of ignition parts I have an original lock and key with the code of "FB". I am pretty certain that it is an original 1932 lock. I also have some keys coded "FD" and "FH". Is "FB" correct for 1932 ? How about the "FD and "FH" ? Thanks for your help, Dodge

    34 roadster windshield flapping

The windshield on my 34 roadster flaps and will not stay in a normal shut position or open. I have tightened the wing nut at the top until I am afraid I will strip something, but no luck. Do you think I am missing a special washer or something else at the top ? ,or is this just a result of repo...

Picked up this cap the other day with the part # and what appears to be the manufacturer's logo. Can one of you 34 gurus tell me if this in fact an original part and who the manufacturer was ? Thanks, Dodge

removing lock cylinder from trunk handle

I'm trying to remove the lock cylinder from a 32-34 trunk or rumble seat handle. I see the hole on the side of the handle and a peg in the cylinder, but how do you remove it? Is it supposed to depress ? is it a screw ? or do you have to drill it out ? Thanks for your help, Dodge

    32 steering wheel clean-up

I have a nice 32 wheel that has no cracks on the face, but has a lot of crud on it from 85 years of dirty hands. How is the best way to clean this ? I was thinking of using 0000 steel wool and then a metal polish, but would like to hear your ideas. Thanks, Dodge

34 manifold to stock 32 engine

Changing the manifold on my stock 32 original engine to a 34 so that I can run a 2 barrel carb and a better fuel pump. Question; I bought a new fuel pump rod described as for all V-8's with an aluminum manifold that is 7.87 inches long. It appears to be too short. My original push rod is about 8...

    leaking 32 water pumps

My 32 tall neck water pumps are leaking. According to Skip Haney per telephone, a major cause of this are cracks around the shaft, and if so, they can't be rebuilt. The guy who answers his email, however, says he wants to buy cracked water pumps. What gives with this ? Can they be rebuilt or not...

wheel lug nuts 7/8 inch across flats

One of my 32 Fords has lug nuts that are 7/8 inches across the flats. They look fairly new are well made and fit really nice. Were these ever original equipment? Maybe for a truck? Every other Ford lug nut i have seen is the standard 13/16.

    1936 Grilles

I've been told that the deluxe grille had the vertical bars satin chromed and then welded into place while the standard one was stamped from one piece of steel. When restoring a deluxe car would it not be better and cheaper to chrome a one piece grille? Am I on the right track with this?
