    Aluminum head gaskets

    I have a clearance problem with a Winfield head on a "B" engine. The pistons protrude about 0.050 above the deck. A special order copper gasket to provide 0.035 clearance is BIG BUCKS. Making the gasket out of aluminum would make the price reasonable, but I can't find much on using this...

    Running board splash aprons

    The groove that the running board flanges fit into fill with water. Is it wise to drill drain holes in this groove before installing the running boards? If so, then coating the groove and the holes edges with POR-15 would seem to be the best way to prevent future rusting? Comments, please! Ed

    Pistons, new old stock

    I have a set of eight 21 stud V8 pistons, 0.040 over, and a set of rings to match. All are in their original wrappers. The pistons have fitted pins. The $200.00 price does not include shipping.

    Pop-Out switch

    Hi, I have an original(?) Model A pop-out switch and key, all looks good except that the cable housing is shorted to the center contact that screws into the distributer. Is there a rebuilding business somewhere that can repair these old switches? Ed ekentner1@cox.net

    8BA block in a Model A frame

    I am toying with the idea of putting an 8BA engine in my '28 A Phaeton. I'm a bit concerned about using the stock A frame because of the lack of room around the A steering box. Can anyone offer some advice?
