    Under drive removal

I've removed clam shell holding brake shafts and foot linkage rods. The cross member to the rear of the under drive has another clam shell and plate. Question is what do I have to do to get the under drive out to change seals ? I have been Googling like mad, but can't seem to come up with an...

    Frame straightening

Frame is pretty straight now. I have about a 1/4" bow in the upward direction from rear motor mounts to both horns. Will the body and engine weight take enough away from that 1/4" so I don't have problems elsewhere ? Also, some of the cast brackets were drill out to a egg shape. What would be...

    Nov. 1928 engine

Yesterday I tore into my first Model A motor:cool: I thought the motor was junk for years, so I figured I'd wreck this motor learning what not to do on the next one. Well to my surprise after removing the head, valves, and pan I find the motor was rebuilt at some point .010 over. Crank spins...

    Rebuilt Model A engine

Last motor Lincoln Johnson built. Firm on the price, don't need to sell. Bought to put in my truck and then found out I have the original motor in my truck. So time to get that running instead. Engine has no carb, starter, or generator. What you see is what you get. Local pickup only. Thanks...

    Rear spindle keyway damage

Key fits tight in keyway, but I'm a little concerned about the chipping. I would like to at least put new seals in the axle housings and check other components out while I'm in there. Question is, is the axle chipping excessive enough to warrant the need for a good replacement ?

    Brake riveter

The man (Hine), who lived on the farm before me, built this large riveter. I would like to know if this is for doing brake linings. Would the small riveter also work ? Drill press is just something else he built. Thanks Pat

    Which Gaskets ?

I've been told that I should use copper gaskets on the water inlet/outlet, manifolds, carb to manifold, and head. Where can I buy a set of copper gaskets or buy them separately ? I've looked in "my" normal places and can't seem to find the copper carb and water inlet/outlet gaskets. I found...
