    Cut-out follow up

I noticed my amp gauge was not showing a charge. I thought my problem was the cut-out so I used a jumper cable to bypass the cut-out and it did show a normal charge. With nothing to loose I took the cut-out apart and found the diode to be good but the solder had broken. After re-soldering all is...

    Battery Terminal advise please

    original style points?

I've got two sets of points I bought 12 years ago from a parts house. Both sets when installed have the same problem, the contacts don't match together perfectly to make a full contact. What I mean is when they are closed they are off-set. If I buy Echlin CS30 points will this still happen? Any...

    Waterpump question

What is the best way to hold the fan and waterpump shaft while tightening the nut for the fan. Clamp the shaft with vise-grips or just hold the fan while tightening? I really don't know how tight the nut should be for the fan. It doesn't say in the Les Andrews book anything about using a torque...

    Am I asking for trouble

In the process of replacing my fan I was thinking about changing the 4 studs for the water pump to the new bolts that look original. They say you can remove the pump without removing the radiator. My big question is how hard is it to remove the four studs? Sometimes I hate to mess with something...

    loose fan

I have a leakless waterpump. I just notice you can wiggle the fan (and pulley) on the shaft of the pump quit a bit. I tried tightening the nut but seems to have bottomed out and there is still the same movement. I think I'm asking for trouble with this much wobble. Any ideas would be...

    White Walls (snow white again)

If you're looking for something to clean your white walls with you need to use Harley Davidson wheel and tire cleaner. Part No.94658-98. It cost $4.00 for a spray bottle 16oz. This stuff really works and will bring them back to snow white and I do mean snow white. Good luck Ron
