Remember not every club member is your friend. I was takin advantage of when I joined our local club 25 years ago. I got so disgusted I basically went inactive several years ago. Next year marks 25 years for me and I will no longer keep my memberships current. Buyer beware.

I bought tubes from Snyder's and had two blowouts within the first 800 miles. I threw the rest in the garbage and ordered Hartford tubes from Coker tire. Very thick rubber. No issues.

MMM just throwing this out there..........How is your wishbone ball? And is it the original style or the rubber ball type?

Yup...same here. Kroil (kano) Penephite was designed to for spraying horizontally.

Whatever the heck Randy Gross uses. I too had the Scandinavian lining for years and never cared for it. Sent my shoes to Randy. Now I have to remind myself I still have mechanical Brakes. World of difference.

Back in the day I remember the term "Skiver" grain. I don't remember if that was for the short or long grain vinyl. This goes waaay back to the J.C. Whitney days. Late 60s to early 70s.

Generally fabric and vinyl are 54 inches wide. Use that as a rough guide. BUT depending on pattern ( motif) one needs to know if the stripes(or) whatever are going across the roll or up the roll. It CAN make a difference in total yardage needed.

Gas tank.

Re: Which Model A vendor has the best 21” inner tubes? Got my radial tubes from Snyders. Two flats in the first 800 miles. I bought Hartford tubes from Coker I believe. No issues. I threw the remaining tubes in the garbage. My understanding is Hartford tubes are also Chinese made. Just holding...

MM Brent's approach is a good one. Do you think it could be the nuts holdin the water pump on. On my fresh engine I had a similar situation and discovered the lower nuts of the pump needed just a bit of a snug up and that stopped the weep. Did you put a bit of sealer on the water pump gasket or...

This best product I ever used was made by Griot's Garage. It was a vinyl top restorer. Griot's flag ship store is 10 minutes from my house. I called them several years ago and asked why they discontinued and was told there was no demand for it. they said if enough people asked to bring it back...

Last few years a lot of guys are using 303 products. Both the multi surface cleaner and follow up with 303 Aerospace Protectant. Seems like it does a good job but for me it's a PITA as it must be mechanically dried wiping down with a towel. It does not air dry.

Will do my best to make it.

Many offerings in both style and color choices. Google is your friend.

MMMm concerning grinding of the adjusting shafts. This is explained in L. Andrew's red book including a diagram on how to build a fixture jig.

Depends where each of us lives. Tacoma/Seattle are dangerous nowadays. So many drivers display a sense of entitlement when on the road. I'm heading for Pendleton for the MAFCA meet. This will be my last long tour. Even giving up the local car cruise in's and shows. Goin for ice cream from now on.

It provides enough of a rise to disable the nozzle from shutting off.

Believe it or not Totally Awesome cleaner works very well both in the shop and the house. $1.25 a bottle at Dollar General. I bought 10 bottles just yesterday

If anybody will know it would be John Hash. He frequents this site. I'm in Tacoma and last I knew babbitt guys are not around anymore. There was talk about a fellow north of King County 2-3 years ago. Good luck.

Sounds like Water Glass (sodium silicate) Throw it away. A well meaning club member dumped Water Glass in my radiator. What a mess. What hardened at the top of your container is what will happen in your radiator tubes.
