    Help identifying this dipstick tube

Dipstick tube on my 312 Country Sedan was never bolted to the head. I always thought it was just never attached. I soon discovered there are not enough bends in it. Clearly did not belong to this motor. Can anyone lend some insight where it came from? It does have a under layer of red-orange paint.

My 56 Homemade PCV Conversion from a 332/302 Valley Pan

I'm working to get my 56' Country Sedan back on the road and many of you have helped so much with insight and all the past threads here. I decided to paint what I could of the engine and get back to the original color. In doing so I had the Valley Pan off and made my own adaptation of the use of...

56 312 Coolant residue on rear main cap.

Was able to pull the engine oil pan from my 56 Country Sedan's 312 motor to get a first look inside since probably the early 70's when the motor was replaced. Right off the bat I see coolant has pooled on my rear main cap. As you can imagine not what I was expecting to see or even seen come up...

Going to be pulling oil pan off my 312 56 Country Sedan and researching how to replace main seal while I'm in there. Tons of information out there on procedures, what I couldn't find was what is the difference or reason to buy a Rear Main Seal Cap (billet cap or retainer) Kit or just go with...

    56 Country Sedan Torque Converter

    56 Country Sedan Tailshaft Removal

56 County Sedan automatic trans. I've found the article by Tim Roden, CTCI showing his method to removing his T- Bird transmission and by all accounts a great step by step paper. Received in some parts in to start work back up on my 56' 312 Country Sedan wagon. Ordered two new rocker shaft oiler tubes to replace the passenger side that was missing and the drivers side that was bent over. What I found interesting is the tube I did have on drivers side looked nothing...

    57 Exhaust Header Part Number?

I'm searching for 57' dual exhaust headers. I understand the 57' was more desirable over 56' and I see several headers for sale. I'm looking for information on the actual part number for RH/LH so I know what I'm looking for and would be buying. I searched the forum here and did not find info I...

    California Emissions on my 56?

Had my 56 Country Sedan in the family since 67'. Long story short I finally pulled out of storage after 30 years. Minor fixes and still fired up and purrs like an old 56' should. I decoded the VIN and found that the motor dad had replaced, was not a 312 but a 292...major bummer. At this point...

Hello fellow Ford owners. New member here. Working on my 4000 4bbl and rebuilding it. I see conflicting information on whether the red nylon check ball is used in the distributor vacuum passage port located on bottom of the base. Mike's Carb parts says it's used with no stipulations, whereas...
