Should the inside of vacuum cannister for the columbia rear end have a lubricant on the walls or just apply a light grease or lubricant to the rubber/leather plunger. Thought this may be good idea for sealing and easier movement for the plunger. Thanks!

When installihg rubber back into windshield frame I put a long piece of string into groove where the rubber slips back onto the window frame,correct?? When rubber is installed onto car,pull string and this pulls the rubber into place,no sections folded under. Am I looking at this correctly. Thanks!!
