    Total production of Flathead V-8?

Having monitored this board (including Shelley's) for several years, I don't think I've ever seen a number for total production of V-8 engines from 1932 thru 1954. I'd be happy to see totals for U.S. and Canada but there were also the English, French, and German versions. Has anybody ever...

    Star Brake Shop

The Star Brake Shop is a self contained unit mfd by the same people who make the Star Brake Lathe. It consists of a roll-around cabinet/bench with 2 brake shoe riveters, a supply of brake linings, and a shoe arcing grinder(less motor). Perfect for the guy who wants a perfect brake job on his old...

    Flat-O-Matic ?

If somebody has an UNinstalled Flat-O kit, I could use a dimension: overall front to back of the aluminum adapter bell. Like if you placed it face down on a flat surface and measured up to the mountiong surface. Can anybody help me here?

    Drive shaft bearing sleeve.

Was in a friend's shop yesterday where he's assembling an old '40s hot rod roadster. It was pretty ragged when it came into the shop a couple years ago and he's had to pick up some new bits and pieces. He has a torque tube from a '40 pickup but it needs the seal and bearing at the front end...

    Dog bones

Spending a rainy day rummaging thru my collection of leftover Ford parts. Found a pair of "as new" shock links-the stamped steel type with studs on 4.5" centers but opposed. Don't find a match in Mac's catalog. Anybody know what they're for? Also found a pair of 99A-18055 (4.75" centers...

    Governed speed

Is there anybody out there who has shop manuals for earlier (pre '54) Ford trucks and Ford Industrial engines? I'm trying to find out what the factory limited R.P.M. to for continuous duty. We have a lot of inconclusive dialogue as to what is safe for our old Fords and most people start to wet...

    '32 parts

Pair of genuine front fenders-both need some work but generally quite solid. R.H. is in bare metal, has one minor dent at front plus rust thru on inner surface that mounts to top of frame near hood latches, some perforation at rear adjacent to running board flang, plus a notch cut out (3/4"...

    Holley Updraft Carb

A clean Holley 859 from a '53 Ford F-600 C.O.E. with a 254" six. This has an 1 1/4" throttle bore and should work well on any A or B Ford. Will need a rebuild but choke and throttle are free and it feels like the accelerator pump still works. Price is plus shipping.

    Sweet running flathead

'Took the coupe for a ride this morning and noticed it was running much smoother than usual-even the "sweet spot" was higher up on the tach. It was the most enjoyable ride I've had since it was "new". No paranoia: no funny sounds or odd vibrations. Found the secret- I left my hearing aids at home.

    '32 Steel fenders

After twenty years, I've decided to make my steel 5 wdw ALL steel-shedding the glass front fenders which were all I could afford at the time. Checking out both Gas Light and Brookville I find a considerable price difference. Gas Light wants $485 ea; Brookville wants $600 ea. ( Some have said...

    Steering gear

Hi-I usually hang out over on the Early V-8 Forum but today's issue is, possibly a Model One. I recently acquired some parts including a steering gear. I don't recognize it but am suspicious it's an "A". Could someone post a picture of an "A" gearbox ?

    '32 Bumpers

My Paul Ezra bumpers are now over 20 years old and looking bad. The plating didn't hold up under exposure to the elements. The question now is: Replate or replace? Are all the repops out there from the same mfr or are some better than others?

    F-100 front axles

I tried this over on the H.A.M.B. since I thought it right on the edge of not suitable for this forum but got no real response: Will a '57 F-100 axle really lower the front of a '53-'56 F-100 by approximately 1 1/2"? I'm sure I saw this tidbit in a thread over there months ago but nobody seems...

    '53 Temp gauge on 12 v.

Just got my '53 F-100 (with 337 Lincoln Flathead) running. This was a body off resto-all new wiring on 12 volts but original gauges in dash. We used Runtz voltage reducers on the gauges. The gas gauge and the fuel gauge work fine. The temp gauge rests at max hot. Turn the key on and it moves to...

    Model A O'Drive.

A few years ago there was a guy from Ohio (I considered him to be "an older fellow" at the time) who was marketing an "inline" B-W Overdrive. Saw him several times at the Hoosier Swap and Show in Indy. It consisted of a standard Ford/Merc planetary set separated from it's transmission and...
