Has any one done power brakes on a 65 falcon I'm thinking of keeping all drums for a while

can I replace a 7/16 stud with a 12mm I have a stripped thread in the block what's the best way to do a fix without removing the head can I drill out the 7/16 threaded hole to the next larger size.
