    Fix a scratched black fender

I have a 28 special coupe that I painted several years ago. I store it in a garage with several flannel sheets over the car. Anyway, a squirrel got into the garage and tried to climb up on the car via the flannel sheet on the front fender. The sharp claws on the squirrel made s couple fine...

1928 35-B Project on MI Facebook

This is the same price I paid 15 years ago for a 29 phaeton in much, much worse shape. It looks like a lot of work has already been done on the car. The doors look pretty good, much better than the ones on that were on my car. I agree, the car looks like a very good deal, at $7K. Rusty Nelson

    Sandblasting

I use sandblast sand. It is the cheapest. It comes in 40 or 50 lb bags. I use 80# of pressure with my TIP USA made pressure blaster. Pressure blasters work many times faster than siphon feed blasters. I have sandblasted 3 model A's - fenders, quarterpanels, frames, pretty much everything...

    Model A B-pillar

The B pillar is the same, I believe on all 28/29 coupes. Maybe the B pillar is also the same for tudor's. I have a 28 special coupe. This doesn't look like the B pillar on my car. The first picture looks strange. Rusty Nelson

    "i am a human"

I don't understand why I keep getting "I am a human" box when I am already logged in. I am all for keeping scamsters out but this is getting tiresome. Is there a reason why the box keeps coming up many times when I refresh my browser even though I am already logged in. Are other members also...

    Import form Argentina

The post Marshall made earlier in this thread explains a lot and reminds me of the bad old days of model A parts buying. Back in the mid 60's I bought parts from both Rick's and Warshawsky (J C Whitney). I was a poor college student at the time with very little money. There was an interesting...

    Floor Board Reinforcing Irons

I agree with alexiskai, they are fairly easy to make yourself. I made a couple sets of 28/29 reinforcing straps which are very close to 30/31 irons. Rusty Nelson

For Sale Original 30-31 popout cables switches

For sale, original popout ignition cables and switches. These I believe are for 30/31 vehicles, even though they would work on 28/29 vehicles. These would need rebuilding and there are no keys with them. Please PM me if you have any questions. USA sales only please. Shipping would depend on...

    open car rear window frame

I don't know if you have found a rear open car window frame. If not, I have an original rear window frame. However, there are 4 #5 screws that are broken off in the frame. The screws are quite small and could be tough to remove. One way would be to use a Dremel tool and grind the screw and...

    Orginal Pop Out Ignition Switch

There are at least 2 types - 28-29 and 30-31. I have 2 of the 30-31 types I plan to sell. There are no keys for them. They would need to be rebuilt. Rusty Nelson

    Old Garfield tires

I have a set of Garfields on my 28 special coupe. They are probably as old or older than your tires. I don't drive my coupe much. As long as they are out of the sun, I think they would be OK. I am sure some people will tell you to get rid of them. But at lower speeds, they are probably...

What Year of Model A Radiator is This?

Yes, 28/29 radiators had "hooks" to cradle the front of the hoods when opened. Also, 28 radiators shells had "stepped" Ford emblems on the outside edging and 29 radiator shell have smooth nickel around the outside of the emblems. The first picture is a 28 emblem and the second is a 29/30...

    1929 Standard "A" Coupe

My 28 special coupe, which is the same as a standard coupes seat, has the 2 rear brackets show in your first picture with the X's. They are used to support the rear of the wood seat frame like shown in your second picture. The 2 brackets on the bottom of the wood frame drop in behind the front...
