Using Ford Barn as an distraction

I am so sorry to hear about your son. We expect them to be safe when they are stateside and only worry when they are deployed to a hostile area. When you are up to it, it would be nice if you could tell us about him and post some pictures of him. Bryan

    Budd cab pickup question

My Budd cab has the Vin Number stamped on the floor as Edgar44 said. I assumed that was a marking made by a DMV person to assign a number tho the truck. Jim B. don't give up hope on your share of the royalties.

    Tom Endy

My good friend Tom Endy has had some health issues in the past few weeks. While he was recovering from a nasty chest cold he had a heart attack which sent him to the hospital. An angiogram found three arteries 75-90% blocked. Tom had triple bypass surgery on December 23rd. Tom is recovering...

    Brattons pistons

The problem may not be the clearance. It may be the pistons. A couple years ago I took some new pistons and a block to a machine shop for fitting. The machinist looked at the pistons and noticed the skirt of the piston was rather thin. He measured the piston, held it hot tap water for a few...

Another Mitchell Overdrive question - 26% or 36%?

I had a 30 Town Sedan with a 5.5 head and a 3.78:rear end. It easily cruised at 55-60 mph and worked very well when I took it up in the mountains. I have never owned or driven a 36% car but I was very happy with the combination I had.

Transmission shift rail seal - The Real Deal

I have seen these seals installed with a new synchronized trans with the bell housing off the car. The instructions say they can be installed through the inspection cover on the bell housing with the bell housing in the car. Have any of you tried to install one of these seals through the...

    Question about a new top.

I bought some of the metal strips for the sides and rear of my Town Sedan. They came rolled up in a box. After hours of trying to straighten them out, I had to drill holes for the nails. I eventually thew them out and used a "Hidem strip". It looks much better than the bent up strips would...

    Speedometer not working

I had the square cable end of the original cable become a bit too rounded to work properly when attached to the Mitchell cable. Replaced it with a new cable and solved the problem. My son had an issue with the crimp on the Mitchell cable not being tight enough and the cable turned inside the...
