I used a method that I have never seen mentioned, I built some brackets that bolt to the spring. Then made some ends for my portapower that bolt to the brackets. Worked good, I went this route because I was insalling a spring with reversed eyes, and didnt think the normal tools would work.

I had the same problem, and solved it by making the door halves my self. got a piece of 3/16 x 2 flat, cut the pieces out to match the old door halves. Then turned down a grade 5 bolt bored it out to hinge pin dia. Then cut 2 pieces off for each hinge. then used the halves from the body as a...
