1934 Closed Car Window Crank Handle

I'm looking for a new window crank handle and an interior door handle for my 34 Tudor. Have the reproductions been discontinued? Every site that I go to online says they are out of stock. I can't find exterior door handles either without the integrated lock.

    34 Won't Go Into Gear.

Thanks to everyone for your input.

    34 Won't Go Into Gear.

That did the trick. However, I didn't have to adjust the clutch linkage, instead I had to adjust the linkage to the pedal valve for the Columbia. It's a threaded rod with a turn buckle on one end with a ball socket. I backed off the nut that locks against the turn buckle, then adjusted the rod...

    34 Won't Go Into Gear.

The clutch is operational. If I put it in gear before starting, then after starting it I can release the clutch pedal to slowly back it out of the garage. The last time I had a stuck clutch on a different 34 I had to put the rear up on jack stands to start it.

I'm not sure, maybe. I'll disconnect the pedal valve this weekend and see if that solves my problem.

    34 Won't Go Into Gear.

My 34 will not go into gear, it just grinds hard. I can put it in gear with the car not running then start it up to move it but then it won't come out of gear unless I shut it off. A few months ago I reattached the pedal valve for the Columbia rear-end due to it coming unattached at the ball and...

I Love Hearing it Crank, but I Would Love Hearing it Run Even More.

I changed the condenser and it has spark, but it jusr won't start. It's getting fuel. I can hear it squirting in the carburetor when I pump the accelerator linkage. I'm stumped.

I Love Hearing it Crank, but I Would Love Hearing it Run Even More.

Thanks for the replies. Those are all good responses. I'll work on it more tomorrow. In the long run, I'm considering installing a 3 bolt distributor with electric ignition and the crab style cap as well as switching it over to a 12 volt system. I just want to drive it more than I want to work...

I Love Hearing it Crank, but I Would Love Hearing it Run Even More.

Hello, I'm trying to get my '34 started and can't figure it out, so thought i'd ask for some advice. The engine has the original style, dive helmet distributor but I installed the kit for a modern coil and condenser. First, I checked to make sure i'm getting plenty of good fuel to the...

    Fender Skirts for '34

Thanks for the replies. Does someone make reproductions? I can't find any info on reproduction skirts. Is there a way to tell if they are original skirts or reproductions?

    Fender Skirts for '34

Hello, I have a set of all steel fender skirts for a '34 Ford. They appear to be restored. I've had them for about 25 years or so but stored them away and never used them on my car. I was considering selling them. However, I can only find one post on the internet about '34 Ford fender skirts...

Conveyer belt material for body pads

Sling strap material for a wrecker sling is the same strong corded material as conveyor belting. You can look for an old wrecker in a junkyard and cut the straps off, or try a wrecker/tow truck supplier.

    Younger crowd in the hobby.

If the younger guys don't get involved, then someday all of these beautiful cars will end up in the crusher due to lack of interest. Imagine that, a world without stock equipped antique cars. That sounds like HELL to me! Teach 'em when they are young, and bring 'em up right. Don't be discouraged!

    Carb cleaner

You should have kept it on the car and ran "Sea Foam" through the system. You'll see all that gunk blow out of the tail pipe in the form of smoke. In 20 minutes time, the engine will run like new. I use it after my vehicles have been sitting for a long time.
