It seems to be happening when I let my foot up off the accelerator because I think I'm going too fast! (Is that possible in a Model A?) But that's when it seems to happen. I'm going along and lift my foot off the gas pedal and it'll backfire once or twice. Does that give you a clue?

I put the 50/50 Lucas mix in my ****** yesterday and don't see any difference in the grinding of the gears at all. Tractor Supply carries the Lucas stuff around here in northern Wisconsin.

I promised to report back on putting the Lucas mix into my transmission and the report is that it made no difference at all in the grinding of the gears. They still grind just great!
