    Need to replace headgasket

My rebuilt engine is leaking coolant through some of the head bolts.. Yes even after I re-torqued to 55lbs! I want to pull the head and try a new gasket.. where can I find one for a 226 SIX "G" model?.. C&G only shows a head gasket for an "H" model engine. I think some coolant got into my...

    Identifying carburetors

I will never agree to go full metric! However, that being said, I can still land a 40 mike mike grenade into a 50 gallon oil drum at 400 meters on the first shot.. using a tried & true M-79 grenade launcher.. those under barrel M-16/M-203 just have too much wiggle play to be so accurate!

    1947 V8 Ford hard starting

My friend doesn't listen to me enough.. he bought the coil on ebay.. I told him to send his old coil to Skip Haney.. he just gives me a blank stare. My friend has many cars & motorcycles. But this is his only flathead ford. He doesn't have the passion for the engine, so his knowledge is...

    1947 V8 Ford hard starting

Ok.. so my flathead SIX, (12 volt) is dialed in and starts every time. My friend's stock 47 V8 (6 volt) starter always turns over but doesn't want to start. We can push/pull/bump start it and it runs fine. The coil was replaced recently as well as the condenser. Sometimes it will start after...

    1948 F4 Ford Truck Transmission $100 obo

SEE Number Post ABOVE.. I am parting out this engine. It is in really good shape, after I have cleaned off the layer of grease & mud! I will post photos of parts already removed from the engine... I have everything BUT the starter.. I cannibalized that for my G model engine rebuild.. I...

    $$$$$

H & H quoted me $5k for my flathead SIX.. I took it to Adams Metallizing and Grinding in Lancaster, CA.. He is almost done and it cost me under $4k... The only reason it cost that much was my ring gear was shot.. I had to order a custom ring gear & rebuild the starter to match! WALT
