Hi guys, Can anyone advise me on a modern replacement gearbox for my 29 A speedster. Currently I get arount 98mph using a high speed diff and three speed box but I think if if change to a 4 or 5 speed box i can improve. Also it will make cruising easier on the revs. Thank you in advance.

ok, so i need to start with the lever up, i will try that, would it have caused a clunk, or a bang?

I start it with the lever down, I think it is on upside down as the light lever is at the top so yes I think its right..

Hi all, today i started the A as normal, however a loud clunk and the engine did not seem to turn over as smoothly from then on, engine runs fine, no noise or leaks, runs well, and starts ok just seems slightly less powerful, (could just be my imagination) took it on a 20 mile run no problems...

Hi, yes they are attached, i had them fabricated, then the brackets are welded to the back on the brake drum so the turn with the wheel.
