There's a gizmo in the supplier catalogs called A's Tank Syte. Heat bent plastic mirror fits over gas opening; lets you see fuel level while filling without leaning over. Still takes some patience to get a full tank through the spark arrester.

Don't know if this is a common problem. The curved section of my driver side upper hood section does not follow the contour of the cowl at the sharpest bend. It does follow the contour of the grill shell, though. It hangs out from the cowl just over an inch. I was thinking of closing the curved...

Any reason why Les Andrews would neglect to say "remove crank pulley, then pull yoke out of cross member."? Have rear mounts loose, engine up until linkage hitting firewall. Still need another .5" to clear the cross member w/o removing crank pulley. :(

Hi Springerpete, I'm doing same job. Did your belt not behave because of pulley alignment or that it rides up further in the new pulley groove? Did it just wear in?
