For only the 6th time since 1987 have I missed the Pate Swap Meet. And the first time to miss it 2 years in a row. For those who went how was it? Plenty of vendors? Big crowds? The one thing I did notice 3 years ago was how many "vendor spaces" had cars parked in them so people could be closer...

Thanks, Guys, for the replies. I may try to make it next year. I don't need anything for my cars that I can't buy on-line but I enjoy meeting the people and looking for that "one special do-dad" that I must have.

Just curious as to how the swap meet was this year at Hershey. Lots of vendors? When I was there 2 yrs. ago it seemed like there were more cars parked in the vendor spots than there were vendors. I am interested to see how much longer it will go on. Let me know your thoughts and how it was in...

I was unable to make it this year to the Petit Jean Swap Meet. Anybody here go? How was it? I know in past years there did not seem to be as many vendors and fewer cars in car corral compared to past years. Tell me about it.

Joe's Speed Shop is a regular at The Pate Swap Meet every year. If you are going that would save shipping one way.

Cars 40 yrs. and older do not require state inspections in La. If using a year of manufacture plate from 1931 it has to be the plate stamped "rear". As far as insurance I don't think it matters at all which plate is on it. That should not change the rate.

At least some of you have an option. Hagerty won't write policies in Louisiana anymore. I guess it is because every commercial on TV is an injury lawyer in our state. I've had J.C. Taylor for years but I also have never had to make a claim.....and hope I don't ever.
