Thank you all for your input. I changed out the alternator for the generator, still 14 - 15 amps, however when I put headlights on it drops to negative 15, with alt. It dropped to 3ish. Thoughts?

Sooo, here’s a head scratcher, I went for a ride, the fan belt delaminated, I put on a new belt, ammeter is back where it should be. Thoughts?

Voltage is 6.4 after two days sitting.

All of a sudden, my 1930 , 6v with alternator, is reading 15 amps, drops when I turn on lights. Thoughts? Thanks

Hello all , I run a 6 v pos ground alt with directional harness. all of a sudden ammeter shows a 3 amp draw with key on not running, when starts it pegs the other way, also when not running still 3amp draw with parking lights it tics a bit more draw, with headlights on it pegs. Thoughts?

I used a piece of foam pipe insulation, opened the windshield, stuffed it in, rattle 90% gone. Thanks guys

Mine is a new header so screws are tight, I’m thinking of removing and greasing the hinge reinstall and go for a ride.

Hello all, My recently rehabbed 30 pickup has a vibration when windshield is open that is driving me nuts, if I put outward pressure on top center of windshield it pretty much stops. Although this method stops the rattle it takes some of the fun,not to mention safety factor, out of what should...

Vin is February '30, crossmember was changed out at some point,rivets are not factory installed.

While assembling my 30 ccpu I realize the crossmember is a 28/29. It looks like I have to pull the engine in order to change it out. Do I take the ****** with the engine or disconnect the bell housing? Any other ideas? Thanks

mine is a 30 ccpu thanks I'll attack it later finally running after 28 years in the garage and a couple years to get to this point, very exciting!!

finally working on the body, taking it apart to get media blasted. should I reuse original(?) windshield or get a modern replacement? also how do I get the glass out of the frame? should be easy enough but I'm a little stumped.
